What is Radiologic technician? and what are their Job?
Radiologic Technologist are certified person and have been passed the licensure examination of Radiologic Technology given in thier country. They are also the one who produces or taking picture of an anatomy that needs to be examined with the use of an ionizing radiation or commonly known as x-rays and manipulates x-ray machine to produces a clear and optimal image of the anatomy of interest in order that the radiologist can give an accurate reading and diagnostic.Radiologic Technology can also operate not just x-ray machine but as well as mamography machine (usually for women tech only depending on the country where you work), computed tomography (CT scan), computerized axial tomography (CAT scan), positron emission tomography (PET scan), Ultrasound (UTZ) uses non-ionizining radiation but sound waves, magnetic resonance imaging also generates non-ionizing radiation and in Nuclear Medicine departments.
The demand for radiologic technicians is largely increasing, an enormous maturing population rising day by day are in need of medical imaging to help radiologist and physicians to diagnose and treat medical needs.
